The First BSC Challenge — canvas a real business, pass the gate

What is assessed is analytical honesty, not polish. A well-argued fail scores as highly as a pass. Free to enter, every valid submission gets written mentor feedback.

The First BSC Challenge — canvas a real business, pass the gate

The Academy’s first open challenge: produce a complete Business Solution Canvas for a real business or problem, score it honestly against the three fit-gates, and publish it to the community.

This is not an essay competition. What is being assessed is analytical honesty: whether your canvas carries its own case, whether your numbers are labelled for what they are, and whether your gate score would survive a stranger reading it.

Why enter: you finish with an inspectable artefact assessed against a stated standard — exactly the kind of evidence skills-based hiring now asks for — plus mentor feedback and a place in the community canvas library.

How it is assessed (equal weight)

  • Evidence — factual claims carry a source; every number in M3 is labelled proposed, confirmed or live.
  • Honesty — the risk box reflects real open assumptions; a well-argued FAIL scores as highly as a pass.
  • Coherence — the boundaries written in A3 still hold in the AI wing; the solution sentence references all three wings.
  • Falsifiability — the outcome metric in A4 has a number, a deadline, a measurement source, and the genuine possibility of failing.

AI assistance is allowed and expected — the judgment must be yours. Every valid submission receives written mentor feedback; selected canvases are featured as teaching examples in the Academy’s BSC track, with the author credited.

Free to enter, open to everyone. The three free BSC courses on the Academy teach everything the challenge assesses.
